About Author

Zena White is a remarkable poet/ short story writer born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Elmont, NY.  She currently resides in Washington D.C. the state that fostered and parented the remarkable young woman she is today. Zena’s poems are full of heartbreak, self discovery, growing pains, joy and love.  She has the ability to hold her readers captive from the introduction until the piece has bobbed, sewn, and weaved itself into your mind.  She is an awkward, outspoken, fearless, quirky talented black woman and is not ashamed of it.  Spreading messages of self-love and growth all through her art.
